Vision
The idea for this musical project was inspired by a significant moment that reflected the Saudi leadership’s pride in the Kingdom’s history and deep-rooted identity.During an official statement, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman corrected the interpreter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who had mistakenly said that Saudi Arabia “gained its independence.”The Crown Prince firmly clarified that the Kingdom was never a colony and was founded from the beginning by Imam Mohammed bin Saud in 1727.
Poem
The lyrics express these deep meanings, reflecting resilience and pride since the founding of the state, while affirming the continued journey of growth and prosperity across generations.
Our land was never colonized, never declared independence
It stood tall from the beginning to the end
Its honor came from God alone, never humiliated
Never placed under the guardianship of others
Our land, land of dignity and deep roots
We continue the journey
The Imam who claimed the heights
Led it from the darkness of night to the light of day
Saudi Arabia, our pride — may it always
Grow from strength to strength to strength
Our land, land of dignity and deep roots
We continue the journey
Our land, a beacon of light
Rise like the sun upon our brows
Our land, land of dignity and deep roots
We continue the journey
Pride runs in us from our ancestors
History bears witness to its true worth
It’s enough that when I say to the world, “I’m Saudi”
Honor rises and the doubters fall
God is the one who gave us strength
He dispels darkness with the light we now see
In its soil we grow, and we keep repeating
O homeland, you live as the pride of Muslims
Melody
The melody began in the Nahawand maqam, which evokes reflection and pride, setting an emotional foundation for the rise of national sentiment. It then shifted to the Bayat maqam, reinforcing cultural identity and expressing a sense of belonging and national dignity. The rhythm used was the traditional Saudi Itbah rhythm, known for its energy and grandeur. It added dynamic momentum to match the celebratory mood of Founding Day.The arrangement blended traditional instruments like the oud with modern musical elements. This created a balanced sound that combined heritage with modernity, reflecting the Kingdom’s vision of moving from a deep-rooted past toward a promising future.
