The sonic identity of “Andes” Roastery and Café reflects a spirit of authenticity and craftsmanship through a unique fusion of Eastern and Western instruments. The musical composition is built around a central theme played by the oud, symbolizing cultural roots and depth, while Western instruments add a modern touch full of vitality and renewal—expressing the brand’s vision of blending classic quality with a contemporary experience.

The DNA motif was crafted using the oud as the main instrument, performing a melody that conveys warmth, craftsmanship, and refined Eastern identity. This motif serves as a foundational element that is reinterpreted across various components of the sonic identity to strengthen the mental association between the brand and its unique sound.

Maqam Selection:
The musical modes were chosen using a melodic blend beginning with the pentatonic Nahawand maqam, creating a mysterious yet soothing atmosphere. It then gradually transitions into the Bayat maqam, which brings a sense of warmth and emotional depth—forming a harmony that reflects the balance between authenticity and modernity.
Introduction:
The piece opens with a deep tone played on the oud, setting the mood for the entire composition. The oud serves as the cornerstone of the musical identity, leading the melodic line with gentle fluidity.
